Ginny McCarthy supports DYP in organizational development, vision, and expansion, especially through the launch of the REACH Clinic. Ginny began her work at DYP in 2021 as a volunteer and later officially joining staff as the Director of Development while she pursued her doctoral degree at the Colorado School of Public Health. Through her position as assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Ginny works to strengthen collaborative partnerships between DYP and the University of Colorado to develop and evaluate innovative approaches to community violence intervention and prevention. Ginny also serves as lead point of contact for the Violence Prevention Professional (VPP)-led Research team for DYP. In her free time, you’ll find Ginny spending time in community, exploring new places and foods, baking basque cheesecakes, skiing, and joking around with friends.
