Shamya is a Denver native, East High School graduate, and earned a degree in Psychology. She has experience in many areas of building the community from peer mentorship to being a full-time Violence Prevention Specialist. As an innovator, she finds value in learning from experiences that foster an environment of equity and belonging. Shamya is a results-driven leader serving in the best interest of community and the disenfranchised with a passion for working with youth.

She loves food, music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. You may even catch the dance and smile bug from her. She loves to live a life of positivity and continuous forward motion for myself and community!
